Mari Perroni

Mari Perroni is an operations and risk management executive with more than 17 years of experience spanning payments, fraud prevention, and gaming. Her specialty is turning complex risk strategy into scalable, measurable operations — helping merchants stop chargebacks before they ever happen.

As Co-Founder and COO of Fraud Deflect, Mari leads global operations and works directly with merchants to prevent fraud at the source. She builds customized, regionally intelligent operations across the U.S., Brazilian, and European markets, adapting international best practices to the realities of each region. She is also a Partner at CNPMentors, where she helps businesses exit dispute monitoring programs and launch with secure, compliant payment operations from day one.

Mari’s operational foundation was forged at Riot Games, where as Fraud & Risk Manager she consistently hit global fraud targets, dramatically reduced chargebacks, and redesigned the hiring structure to scale high-performing teams. Earlier roles at Jagex and Lego, spanning community management, fraud, and localization sharpened her ability to align cross-cultural teams and keep global operations moving in sync.

A passionate advocate for women in fraud, risk, and payments, Mari mentors in both English and Portuguese through PayTech Women (PTW) and Risk Women Brasil (RW Brasil), helping women navigate the industry, overcome barriers, and advance into leadership.

Mari is native-level bilingual in English and Portuguese and fluent in Italian and Spanish. Beyond her professional work, she is committed to community service, most recently as Public Image Chair for the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra, with volunteer teaching and interpreting experience across Brazil, the UK, and Italy.
